3x Karel Appel

From an international perspective, Karel Appel is probably the most famous Dutch artist of the second half of the twentieth century. Appel's work consists mainly of abstract paintings with bright colours, very active brushwork and heavy impastoed oil paint. This year it will be exactly 10 years since he passed away: a perfect moment to introduce the following three Appel's available in our shop. All three of them are displayed at Okker Art Gallery, Vijzelstraat Amsterdam, where you are more than welcome to have a look.
