The story

An unusual wineglass with a bell bowl and a cotton twist stem. Inserted in the hollow spherical knop a Dutch coin, dated 1738 with the inscription “Hollandia”. These low value coins were called "bezemstuivertje".

Literature: Ward Lloyd. A wine lover’s glasses. The D.A.C. Hubbard Jr. Collection, 2000. Page 99, plate 145.
