The story
19th Century floral spray brooch set with 120 rose cut diamonds (foil backed) centred with a beautiful Amsterdam rose cut diamond of approximately 1.8 ct. Total estimated diamond weight 7 ct. Dutch hallmarks for 18 carat gold as used between 1814 and 1905, indistinct makers mark. The centre diamond used to be detachable but is now fixed to the brooch, this suggests that originally it also could be mounted on a Tiara.
The brooch comes in an antique leather case that bears the name P. van Santen Amsterdam Royal jewelers.
