The story
Willy Sluiter made this drawing for Thérèse (Thea) Blommers, painter B.J. Blommers' daughter. She was born in 1891, thus 11 years old when Sluiter made the drawing. Along with her sister Marie Zoetelief Tromp-Blommers, friended with Piet Mondriaan, she often went to dance at Hamdorff in Laren, The Netherlands.
Signed upper right, dated '1902' and annotated.
